Mullets and Miniskirts

Because Facebook, MySpace, Bebo, LinkedIn and Zorpia just aren't enough for me.

Hello

Remember me? I'm the guy that started a blog and then never updated it.

I have big news for today. Well, for me at least. I'm finally moving out of my tiny crappy apartment into an apartment that has (get this) more than one room!!! I'm very excited. My months of planning, getting shot down and waiting to strike have finally paid off, and I now have an apartment on the 20th floor with a view of downtown Jungang. I have my own washing machine, so the crusty Russians won't be able to steal my favorite shirts from the laundry any more. I will soon have my own oven, and thus be able to cook all of the stuff I've wanted to for the last three years but couldn't. Oh, yeah, bring on the quiche, pie and lasagna!

Random not in any way connected question; What should you do when a horny drunk girl walks into your house at 4am, one hour before you have to get up, and two hours after you fell asleep and jumps on top of you? I personally don't get nearly enough sleep, so I push her off and go back to sleep. However, it seems wrong. There should be a better answer to that question. Any advice would be appreciated.

Random not in any way connected info; I have recently become addicted to grapefruit. This serves me in several ways. First, I have a tasty snack, which makes everybody happy. Second, it's good for me, unlike everything else I do. Finally, but most important, they're sour, so when I take them to school, and my kids say "oh, oh, oh, oh, teacher, teacher, teacher, gimme, gimme, gimme..." I give them a piece, they make a face and run away crying because they expected an orange. Then, the next time I eat one, they no longer bug me for any. I can therefore eat my own food in peace without having to give most of it away to kids who have probably eaten three times in the last twenty minutes, when I haven't had a break to eat all day.

Cricket

Cricket turns out to be much more fun than I gave it credit for. Mind you, I'm still not sure how I feel about test cricket, because seriously, who has five days to watch one game. Seriously. One day cricket was a bunch of fun though. The levels of stress just keep building as the game goes on, until it reaches its final conclusion. About the same speed as baseball, but without the yokel factor. There's no ball scratching, snot blowing, tobacco chewing, or balks. Come one now, who invented the balk? They really need to do something better to do with their time.

I ended up watching cricket in Seoul because it was New Zealand vs. South Africa in the world cup, and almost everyone I know here is a Kiwi or Canadian. This is due to the fact that many Americans seem to be too afraid of terrorists/tsunamis/the boogeyman/not knowing where the nearest McDonald's is to go on fun vacations. The U.S. has a population over ten times the size of Canada, yet I have only met a handful of Americans on my travels, while Brits, Aussies, and especially Kiwis and Canadians are a dime a dozen. Maybe it's something bred into the culture to go out and see something different at least once in your life. I'm not sure, but there's probably a large government grant in it for someone who comes up with a theory and a way to prove it... hmm...

They're on to me!!!

I just googled my name, and found out that THEY have a solution to the random crap I do!! I'm frightened. The titles of some of the articles are "The Classical Stefan Problem", "The Degenerate ... Stefan Problem" and "Solutions to the Stefan Problem" THEY KNOW, MAN! I knew my random lashings out at people were mildly annoying, but I didn't think them strong enough to get the scientific community after my ass.

Other noteworthy information;

Baseball is back, bringing with it the summer, and the most boring season for sports (well, once hockey finally finishes).

Roberto Luongo is the second coming. 72 saves in his first ever playoff game!

You need to go out and watch everything by 박찬욱 (Park Chan Wook). Just do it and thank me later.

It's Friday. This makes me happy in the pants.

Kurt Vonnegut is dead. The world looked less glorious today.

It's Friday the thirteenth, and my day sucked. There's a first time for everything, I guess.

More hockey

Even though I'm ticked about the Leafs, it could be worse. I could be a Flyers fan. To all Flyers fans that have given me crap over the last ten years; HA HA!!!

So Apparently...

I've finally gotten off my butt and started playing with this site. It's only taken me since Christmas to do such things. I was actually hoping to use this as a place to post my love of all things Maple Leaf, but apparently that will have to wait for another six months in which the team will most likely be disassembled and put into rebuilding mode

Nothing else interesting has happened recently. Nathan had a girlfriend, Nathan no longer has a girlfriend. Nathan had another girlfriend, Nathan no longer has the other girlfriend. Hayden was dating an annoying Indian girl, Hayden is no longer dating an annoying Indian girl. Stefan had a sexy girlfriend, Stefan still has a sexy girlfriend despite the repeated advances of that one girl from Saturday. This girl would not give up. You'd figure when you're dancing seductively in front of a person for more than ten minutes and they don't more than glance at you disdainfully, you'd get a clue, but no, she started the grabbings and less advanced forms of drunken seduction until I had to start being mean Stefan. I don't remember exactly what was said, but I do remember;

me: go away
her: oh, hi, what's your name?
me: my name is go away
her: where are you from?
me: are you stupid?

She would get pissy for a bit and then come back for more as if I had an evil twin she had been talking to, or else had changed my mind and felt like going home with her and the ugly friend that was hanging nervously behind her shoulder. I've been trying to be nicer to people recently, but really, what can you really do but go mean, or leave the bar?

I want to cry

Yet another hockey season has come to a close with the Leafs dumping off talented youngsters to acquire old guys that don't do much for the team. Mind you, I like Yannic Perreault, but there's no chance we're signing him for next year, so I don't care. That coupled with the fact that Martin Brodeur is an asshole makes me less than pleased. I ask you, the man takes off four games all year, and one of the four is the last game of the season which New Jersey lost in a shootout because he wasn't playing to eliminate the Leafs from the playoffs once again. That wasn't actually a question. Stefan be not happy.

In other news... yup, I have no other news. I'm too pissed off about the leafs to care about anything else right now. Now I have to root for Vancouver and Ottawa. That just makes me feel dirty.
